NYC Greek Film Festival 2016
Join us this year's NYC Greek Film Festival to experience a fantastic lineup of films and venues! Below are some key events and dates:
Sep 29: Opening night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Screening of Notias, a film by Tassos Boulmetis, director of Politiki Kouzina.
Oct 1: VIP Reception at Russian Tea Room & Screening. A special fundraising reception, followed by a screening of Worlds Apart. Christoforos Papakaliatis will personally present his blockbuster film.
Oct 3: Meet the Directors at 3 West Club. Come meet several of the directors and actors from this year's film lineup. Complimentary coffee and Greek desserts will be served.
The festival screenings take place from Sep 29 to Oct 16 in Manhattan, Astoria, and Manhasset. From star-crossed lovers in German-occupied Thessaloniki to a Coast Guard captain and his crew picking up Syrian refugees from the waters surrounding the island of Lesbos, the subject matter of this year’s selections is as varied as the films themselves are fascinating. In all, fifteen narrative features and seven documentaries make up the program this year. Visit NYC GREEK Festival's site for schedule details and tickets:
